Love was really in the air at the Caloocan City Sports Complex on Thursday as more than 1,700 couples tied the knot in a mass wedding ceremony on Valentine’s Day.
Mayor Oca Malapitan officiated the mass wedding, which was considered a dream wedding for couples who could not afford an expensive ceremony.
The city government transformed the place into a beautiful wedding venue with balloons and flowers.
The couples also received gifts and other souvenirs from Mayor Oca.
“We are gladly witnessing a sacred ceremony for thousands of couples,” Malapitan said.
