St. Luke’s, DSWD ink pact for Baesa families

The St. Luke’s Medical Center Foundation, Inc., St. Luke’s Quezon City Nursing Care Group, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development-NCR have formalized their solidarity to assist in the health requirements of families in Barangay Baesa, Quezon City.

This endeavor, through signing a Memorandum of Agreement, reinforced St. Luke’s Medical Center’s commitment to give back to the community where everyone has equal access to quality healthcare.

Dr. Arturo S. de la Peña, president and CEO of St. Luke’s Medical Center; Edna Sacedor, Assistant Regional Director for DSWD-NCR; Maria Martina Geraldine Dimalibot, Senior Vice President for St. Luke’s NCG; and Olivia Yao, Resource Generation Director for St. Luke’s Medical Center Foundation, signed the tripartite agreement at the Auditorium 2 of St. Luke’s Quezon City.

The agreement will pave the way for the group to conduct integrated community health services for the poverty-stricken families of District 6 in Barangay Baesa, Quezon City, who are also members of the 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) of DSWD.

The program, which will be spearheaded by the nurses of St. Luke’s Quezon City, will include education, training, and other integral activities centered on improving the health of the community through the active engagement of the families.

The program components are identified by both the community and the DSWD field personnel as high priority and with high impact value.
