The Makati City government is offering full scholarships to the first batch of students enrolled at the University of Makati’s School of Law, which will be launched next month.

Members of the City Council approved Ordinance 2017-044 establishing the UMak School of Law, “committed to fully support the legal education program of the university through the approval of its full scholarship program for the pioneer batch of the law school.”©”

The program offers full financial support for tuition and miscellaneous fees, the provision of a P20,000 book stipend annually, and a P10,000 monthly allowance for the entire academic year.”©

The few remaining slots for full scholarship are open to all students who have obtained Latin honors in their undergraduate studies, and those who pass the UMak Law School Admission Test and the Legal Education Board-mandated Philippine Law School Admission Test (Philsat).

The new program, according to UMak president prof. Tomas B. Lopez Jr., continues the vision-mission of the university of providing higher education programs that will develop competitive young Filipino professionals who are empowered to thrive in their selected fields or industry of interest.

The city public information office advised all those interested to apply must submit their Official Transcript of Records, a Certification of Latin Honors and their Philsat passing rate to the Office of the University Secretary, 3/F Administration Building, University of Makati, J.P.
