Nueva Vizcaya hospital starts P250 million medical arts building

Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya—The provincial government here has started the construction phase of the P250 million Medical Arts Building at the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital in barangay Almaguer North here.

Dr. Arlene Jara, NVPH chief, said the MAB will house the doctors’ clinic, offices that will cater for general medicine and multi-specialty practice, diagnostic sections such as ultrasound, CT Scan, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanner.

She said the MAB will also house a laboratory section, which consists of the blood bank, pharmacy and dialysis building.

The MAB, funded through the Department of Health’s Health Facilities Enhancement Program is part of the priority programs of the provincial government on health.

“The sustained improvement and development of the NVPH has been the priority of the provincial government in partnership with the DOH to upgrade its level from 1 to 2 to provide more services for Novo Vizcayanos,” Jara said.

The provincial government has earlier funded the construction of temporary hospital wards and further pursued the renovation of its emergency room, outpatient department complex, temporary dialysis clinic, administrative section through the HFEP funds.
