Bataan board lauds vice gov’s League post

Balanga City, Bataan”•Members of the Sangguiang Panlalawigan are happy over Vice Gov. Cris Garcia’s election as treasurer of the Leauge of Vice Governors of the Philippines.

At the end of their regular session on Monday, members of the provincial board applauded the vice governor for her new post.

“Congrats vice gov,” the members greeted in chorus, to which Garcia humbly replied, “Dagdag trabaho lang” (It’s just added work).

Officers of LVGP Executive Committee for 2019 to 2022 were elected last week.

Garcia started her stint in politics in 2016 when she substituted for her late uncle former governor and congresssman Tet Garcia for the vice gubernatorial post.

“Never in my wildest dream that I thought I would become vice governor,” she said in the early part of her political career.

Garcia was unopposed in her reelection in the last midterm elections.

Prior to her entry to politics, she worked for her uncle in Congress and later coordinator of the Iskolar ng Bataan program.

Many Bataan folks observe her being industrious and hardworking.
