SM City Marilao has bagged two Silver Stevies in the prestigious 2019 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for the E-llumiArt, under the category of Innovation in Energy and Sustainability and Innovation in Living, Learning, and Working Environments, respectively.

These wins were among the 45 Stevie Awards bagged by SM Supermalls that garnered the company the most coveted Grand Stevie for Most Honored Organization.

“We are thankful and truly elated by these validations of our hard work, dedication and passion to offer family fun experiences for our valued customers,” said Steven Tan, SM Supermalls COO.

SM City Marilao’s 2018 e-LluminArt, as remembered, was an eco-friendly light installation at the mall that uses innovative approaches focusing on the theme of recycling, reducing energy consumption and sustainability.

The installation was created with energy-saving lighting and recycled materials recovered from various mall initiated cleanup drives.

E-LluminArt’s core concept was to engage the audience with the eco-friendly light art installation while stressing the importance of recycling and conservation.

The campaign also shed light to islands of Binuangan in Obando, Bulacan where art pieces and all solar-powered LED bulbs were donated to help with the community’s lighting needs.

SM’s Bulacan Art Fest in Marilao, Baliwag and Pulilan also received bronze award for Innovation in the Use of Events.

These unique events were rolled out last year; highlighting the province’s innovative culinary talents through the unveiling of SM City Marilao’s Giant Inipit and SM City Baliwag’s biggest serving ensaymada. SM Center Pulilan likewise launched several culinary workshops for young Bulacan chefs.

SM Malls in Bulacan including Sangandaan and Valenzuela were also honored with a bronze award for its Food Fest Campaign under Innovation in Consumer Event for Food Fest.

The Stevies, previously known as The American Business Awards and then The International Business Awards, is the only business awards program that recognizes innovation in the workplace in all 22 nations of the Asia-Pacific region.

The Stevie Awards are widely considered as the world’s premier business awards that confer recognitions for outstanding programs, such as The International Business Awards which is already on its 16th year.

The focus of all categories in the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards is now on innovation in all its forms, in every aspect of work life and achievement.
