GenTri ‘Masa Masid’ program launched

GENERAL TRIAS CITY—The local government here led by Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer and local police chief Superintendent Sandro Jay Tafalla led the orientation of the “Masa Masid” Program at the Barangay Pinagtipunan covered court on Thursday.

The LGU and officials of the Department of the Interior and Local Government explained to 33 barangay chairmen and kagawad the community based program for preventing corruption, illegal drugs and criminality in barangays.

Cavite 6th District Rep. Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer IV, Vice Mayor Morit Sison, provincial board member Kerby Salazar and city councilors attended the forum, which is the acronym for the Mamamayang Ayaw sa Anomalya, Mamamayang Ayaw sa Iligal na Droga or Masa Masid.

In Noveleta town, Mayor Dino Reyes Chua led the national earthquake drill exercises at the municipal hall, while the town’s disaster management head Jeg Alix monitorws the drills in St, Threse School and all public schools of the locality.
