Property developer Anchor Land recently donated a mobile clinic for cancer screening to the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS).
The clinic will target small barangays across Metro Manila, promoting cancer awareness and offering early cancer detection services. Anchor Land’s donation will enhance detection of different kinds of cancer at early stages, and provide fast treatment to those patients afflicted with cancer of the breast, cervix, and ovary.
“In line with Anchor Land’s commitment to care for the communities where we build our residential projects, we hope to contribute in raising awareness of different kinds of cancer and providing easy access to health facilities for the impoverished families in the communities in the city,” said Anchor Land President Elizabeth Ventura Ventura.
The mobile clinic will carry the equipment necessary for cervical cancer and breast cancer screening. It will also offer the single visit approach through Visual Inspection of Acetic Acid Wash (SVA-VIA) with cryotherapy, clinical breast exam and a 30-minute lecture on cancers in women.
“The mobile clinic donated by Anchor Land will allow us to reach the communities that are difficult to penetrate due to narrow roads and alleys,” said PCS board of trustees officer Dr. Kelly S. Salvador.
