Aid for Albay

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) recently turned over P35 million to the provincial government of Albay to respond to the needs of locals whose livelihood were affected by Mayon’s volcanic activity over the past few months. Of the P35 million donation, P17 million, was turned-over to Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara.  The financial grant is being used  to build evacuation centers and resettlement areas for those living in hazard-prone areas,  learning shelters and toilets for students, potable water, medicines, tents,  as well as fuel and transportation, water and electricity. PAGCOR has likewise been conducting feeding programs for affected residents in Camalig, Guinobatan, Ligao, Daraga, Tabaco, Malilipot, Sto. Domingo, and Legazpi City.
