Seafarers family congress

Seafarers, maritime industry leaders, and government officials gather for the two-day Seafarers Family Int’l Congress starting Wednesday at the Manila Hotel to tackle issues faced by the seafarer community through discussions and talks for industry stakeholders. The opening was graced by Senator Pia Cayetano and Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade (third and fourth from left, respectively), joined by (from left) International Maritime Organization goodwill ambassador George Hoyt; Marissa Oca, founder and president of Gig and the Amazing Sampaguita Foundation Inc.; Ambassador Win Naing of Myanmar Embassy; and Dr. Conrado Oca, president of Associated Marine Officers’ and Seamen’s Union of the Philippines.
