As the world marks the 6th World Wildlife Day on Sunday, March 3, the Bureau of Customs-Ninoy Aquino International Airport seized 1,500 live turtles of different sizes and types concealed in the luggage of an arriving Filipino passenger from Hong Kong. The contraband is estimated to cost P4.5 million. The turtles were turned over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
