Former Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez (right) surprises his wife, incumbent Mayor Cristina Gonzales-Romualdez, with a cake to congratulate her for a job well done as the city’s chief executive for the past three years. Alfred will run to reclaim his old post in the May elections next year, as Cristina, who also served as councilor for nine years, takes a break from politics to care for their daughters.
