ABS-CBN brings TVplus to Batangas

ABS-CBN Corp. said it launched ABS-CBN TVplus in Batangas as a part of a plan to expand its digital services.

Batangas is the 16th signal coverage area of ABS-CBN TVplus, accelerating further the network’s mission to lead the country’s migration from analog to digital before the mandated deadline for all broadcast companies to switch to digital by 2023.

ABS-CBN sold 6.2 million TVPlus as of end October.

The network said that since its launch in 2015, ABS-CBN TVplus drove the digital penetration in non-cabled homes in Metro Manila and in the suburbs.

It said with the ABS-CBN TVplus box, residents in Batangas could now enjoy clear picture, crisp sound, exclusive channels, and an affordable pay-per-view service with no monthly fees.

The box also has an emergency warning broadcast system (that provides the public with useful information during typhoons and earthquakes.

ABS-CBN is the first media and entertainment company in the country to make the historic switch from analog to digital terrestrial television to transform the TV viewing experience of Filipinos when it launched ABS-CBN TVplus in 2015.
