The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board issued a moratorium on accepting new applications for transport network companies.

The regulator issued Memorandum Circular No. 2018-016, suspending the acceptance of all new applicants for TNC accreditation for transport network vehicle service to allow the board to closely monitor the existing accredited TNCs  and those subject for renewal and/or evaluation.

MyTaxi.Ph and U-Hop Transportation Network Vehicle System Inc. have pending applications to extend their permits to operate as TNCs.

Newly accredited TNCs include Hype Transport Systems Inc., GoLag Inc., iPara Technologies and Solutions Inc., Hirna Mobility Solutions Inc., Micab Systems Inc. and E-Pick Me Up Inc.

The LTFRB said Citmuber Corp., Aztech Solution International Corp., Unified Transport Operations League SMESOFT Inc. and iHitchonline Inc. were under evaluation by the board.
